Accounting Methods Builder is used to create and modify the setup for application accounting definitions(AAD) and journal line defination (JLD) for Oracle subledger applications.

AMB(Accounting Methods Builder) Enables an organization to meet specific fiscal, regulatory and analytical requirements . It Compromises of two models as shown in above picture.

Event Model

Definition of the Subledgertransaction types and lifecycle.
Predefined Components-new components cannot be defined.
There are 3 Levels in event model

1. Event Entity: Highest level, often 1 per Subledger
2. Event Class: classifies transaction types for accounting rule purposes
3. Event Type: for each transaction type, defines possible actions with accounting significance
